Monthly Capitol Visit
The Missouri Nurses Association is partnering with AMNP, MOANA, and nursing groups around the state to host weekly days at the capitol. We know the more nurses walk the halls and share their stories with legislators, the more effective we can be in our advocacy.
The 2023 legislative session is now underway and we are excited for the opportunity to advance our legislative priorities, but we need you. Please consider signing up for one (or more) day at the capitol. Hearing directly from nurses in one of the best ways to engage with elected officials.
These are casual, free events. There will be staff and brief training at each event so these are great for people who have never been to Jefferson City as well as for the experienced nurse advocate. The day will include a legislative briefing, key messaging points, and time to meet with legislators.
For your convenience, MONA is offering visits at the Capitol on the following dates:
- April 18 – MONA Children and Families Day at the Capitol
- April 26 – MONA, MOANA, AMNP, and MOAPRNFPA Nurses Day at the Capitol
