2021 MO Nurse Advocacy Day | On-Demand

Missouri Nurse Advocacy Day is intended to increase awareness of the political process for all nurses and nursing students. The event expands participants’ understanding of the legislative process and provides them with effective techniques for advocating for their patients and practice.

The 2021 Missouri Nurse Advocacy Day will be delivered in two parts this year:

• Part 1) a live panel presentation provided via ZOOM on March 3, 2021 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm, and
• Part 2) a virtual, on-demand program, that will be available from February 17 through April 15 to those pre-registered – registrants will have around 60 days to view the pre-recorded educational sessions

The on-demand sessions and live panel presentation will focus on why legislative advocacy is important, identifying the Missouri Nurses Association’s key legislative priorities, as well as sharing what is needed from each nurse in the state to be successful at the Capitol.

Pre-registration is required for access to the on-demand activity. Registration closes on February 12, 2021, at 12:00 pm CST. No registrations accepted after February 12, 2021.

A link to access the on-demand activity will be emailed to all pre-registered individuals the week of February 15th, so you can view the modules at your convenience, anytime, anywhere.

Registration Process

We offer two ways to register – 1) as an individual and 2) as a group or school.

The deadline to register was February 12, 2021.

Individual Registration
Individuals seeking to participate and register on their own, not with a school or group, may register online.

Group & School Registration
Schools of nursing and specialty groups seeking to participate in the event together as a group (i.e. seating) have two registration options. Groups of 20 people or less may register online. Groups of 20 or more must register using the Group/School Registration List and corresponding Group/School Payment Form below. Online registration is not an option. See instructions below:

Smaller Groups of 20 or less
Smaller groups may register online by clicking the Register Now button, or complete and submit the Group/School Registration List and corresponding Group/School Payment Form (forms below) to our office for processing. Register groups of 20 or less online at: https://www.cvent.com/d/c7qhz2

Larger Groups of 20 or more
Please complete the Group/School Registration List and corresponding Group/School Payment Form below. Both forms are required. The Group/School Payment Form will ask you to identify the total number of students versus faculty participating along with payment information, and the Group/School Registration List will ask you to identify each individual in your group by first and last name, address, email address, type of registrant (MONA Member, Non-Member, or Student) and if you plan to participate in the live webinar on March 3. Please submit both forms to our office for processing. We will communicate details about registration and the event to the individual identified as the faculty/group liaison on the forms.

NOTE: It is important that payment be in the form of ONE check (no individual student payments please), money order, or ONE credit card covering all attendees from the group/school.

Who will be in Attendance?
We anticipate around 800 registrants in this year’s virtual event*. Approximately 80% will be student nurses, representing over 20 Schools of Nursing across Missouri, and 20% experienced, registered nurses from a variety of settings. We hope you will choose to support our event! *Attendance numbers are estimates, not guarantees, are based on attendance trends from past events and are subject to change.

Sponsorship Opportunities – Please select one or more of the sponsorship opportunities below:

• • Pre-Recorded Video/Audio Ad – $1,000.00 (space is limited; placement provided on a first-come basis)
    Sponsors pre-record a 3-5-minute video and/or audio advertisement introducing their company to event participants and submit to the MSD office as anMP4 file, along with a high-resolution company logo (jpg/pnp file). The video/audio file received will be linked to the sponsor’s logo and posted to the on-demand site home/landing page for learners to access (space is limited).
  • Banner Ad – $500.00 (placement provided on a first-come basis)
    Sponsors create a 295 x 350-pixel graphic/image advertisement to display at the top of a dedicated ‘SPONSOR’ page of the one-demand site, which will be linked to the company website for learners to view as they access the pre-recorded session presentations. The company name and web address provided in the registration details above will be used when displaying companies on the page.
  • Virtual Sponsor Page Listing – $200.00
    Sponsor company names displayed in alphabetical order on a dedicated ‘SPONSOR’ page of the on-demand site. Registrants will be encouraged to visit the page and click on the company names to learn more about each company supporting the event. The company name and web address provided in the registration details above will be used when displaying companies on the page.

Video/Audio Ads with Sponsor Logos & Banner/Ads due February 1, 2021

Refund/Cancellation Policy – Sponsor fees, less a $100.00 enrollment processing fee, will be refunded to exhibitors who cannot attend and notify the Missouri Nurses Association/Midwest MSD office in writing of the cancellation before February 5, 2021. No refunds will be made after February 5, 2021.

Accreditation
5.0 contact hours will be awarded to those participants who meet the successful completion requirements.

The Midwest Multistate Division is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
