CANDIDATE

Kerri Loncon
RN
Position Statement
I believe Nursing is the backbone of healthcare, and there are not enough of us. Nursing includes nursing students, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Nurse Practitioners. We need to make sure everyone knows we will go nowhere. No AI will ever take our place; they can’t give the humane, caring, gut feeling we get when a patient goes south. AI will not sit with a patient when the patient needs to talk to someone. So, you see, we are expendable.

I believe we each have a responsibility to lead by example and a duty to share our experiences in order to foster belonging and confidence in others. I am applying for the fellow position to listen and learn from others in order to understand current issues and gain experience that will help me to lead in future leadership roles.
